 SDG Project Manager – Ref:ACC1040

We are seeking a motivated and experienced SDG Project Manager to lead our initiatives aimed at advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Ghana and beyond. The SDG Project Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring projects and partnerships that contribute to the achievement of specific SDG targets and indicators. This role requires strong project management skills, a deep understanding of the SDGs, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Key responsibilities :

Project Planning and Implementation:
  • Lead the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets for SDG-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with relevant SDG targets and indicators.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to implement projects effectively and achieve intended outcomes.
  • Oversee all aspects of project implementation, including resource allocation, stakeholder engagement, and monitoring and evaluation.
 
Partnership Development and Management:
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with government agencies, non-profit organizations, academic institutions, and other stakeholders to support SDG-related projects and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with partners to leverage resources, expertise, and networks to maximize the impact of SDG projects and drive systemic change.
  • Nurture relationships with existing partners and explore opportunities for new collaborations that align with Humanics Lab’s SDG priorities.
 
Monitoring and Evaluation:
  • Establish monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track progress, measure outcomes, and assess the impact of SDG projects on target communities and beneficiaries.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform decision-making, identify lessons learned, and improve project effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
 
Capacity Building and Knowledge Sharing:
  • Provide guidance and support to project team members and partners on SDG principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and learning exchanges among stakeholders to promote innovation, collaboration, and collective action towards the SDGs.
  • Organize workshops, training sessions, and other capacity-building activities to build awareness and strengthen local capacity for SDG implementation.
